اللجنة الدولية لحقوق الإنسان: الترفع عن الخطابات المؤذية للسلم المجتمعي في لبنان / IHRC: Standing above the rhetoric harmful to societal peace in Lebanon

رأى مفوض الشرق الأوسط للجنة الدولية لحقوق الإنسان ومبعوث المجلس الدولي لجنيف السفير الدكتور هيثم ابو سعيد أن السجال الذي أطلقته أحدى المراجع الدينية في لبنان لا يخدم السلم الأهلي مطلقاً، لا بل يضع الاحتمالات كلها مفتوحة على صراعات طائفية إعتقدنا أننا خرجنا منها منذ زمن.

وأضاف أن كيل الاتهامات لا تجوز حول أي استحقاق وطني وعلى الكل تحمل المسؤولية والترفع عن الإنزلاقات المعروفة الأهداف والمرجع، والعمل على وحدة الصف والموقف وعدم الإتجار بأجندات خارجية سيما أن كل المراجع الدينية تؤكد على الحس والانتماء الوطني. وطالب السفير ابو سعيد رئيس الجمهورية اللبنانية التدخل فوراً لوقف هذا المنحى الحاصل اليوم، وهو الشخص الوحيد القادر على سحب فتيل الجدال القائم ضمن المعطيات الموجودة بين يديه.

The Commissioner of the Middle East for the International Commission for Human Rights and the envoy of the International Council to Geneva, Ambassador Dr. Haitham Abu Said, believed that the debate launched by one of the religious authorities in Lebanon does not serve civil peace at all, but rather puts all possibilities open to sectarian conflicts that we thought we emerged from long ago.
He added that accusations are not permissible about any national merit, and everyone should bear responsibility and rise above the slippages known to the goals and reference, and work on unity of ranks and position and not to trade in foreign agendas, especially since all religious references emphasize national sense and belonging.
Ambassador Abu Said called on the President of the Lebanese Republic to intervene immediately to stop this trend that is taking place today, and he is the only person capable of pulling the fuse of the ongoing debate within the data in his hands.
